Hooray for Bill Cosby
Nowadays, Bill Cosby is known mostly for his homogenized sitcom career that started with the 80's staple "The Cosby Show". But back in the day, he was a pretty hip comedian, and even tried his hand at singing, with mixed results.

The pinnacle of his singing career has to be his 1968 album Hooray for the Salvation Army Band!, which finds Cosby covering such songs as "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hears Club Band", "Reach Out I'll Be There", "Sunny", and "Purple Haze", sort of. The tune for the Jimi Hendrix song is found on the title track of the album, with extremely different words. Dig it:
